O. B.: October ninth ★ H E I G H T: five feet and three inches ★ W E I G H T: 104 lbs ★ A P P E A R A N C E: When you think of short, angry teenage girls, you probably picture Kasumi in your head. She stands at a small five foot three with a runner's body. Her legs are like sticks and her arms not much better, but it works with her small and skinny body. Other parts she does not prefer, like her small...bust. But you win some you lose some right? She has maroon, almost raspberry colored hair that sits at her shoulders, straight down with bangs that don't quite reach her intense green eyes. Always the rebel, she wears a yellow/green hair band daily and refuses to take it off. Kasumi absolutely detests the school uniform. Yellow is a hideous color. She endures it for the sake of finding ways to end the host club though. Her true style is much more tomboyish, with cargo shorts and a variety of tank-tops, graphic tees and beat up shoes. Her favorite article of clothing is her hoodie that she cut the arms off of, making it much more common and stylish. Not because of familiar connections or because of her looks (because they aren't all that great anyway), but through hard work and dedication. She's fiercely independent, strong and passionate about her goals and will go to any lengths to see them through. You've got to admire her spirit, daring and go-getter ways, however strange she may be. Kasumi's always formulating a plan in her head, so watch out. Inside she's much more fragile than she lets on. She is actually quite dependent on her friends, even if she heavily denies it and worries about her family way more than one person should. SHe gives out this 'I don't care what you think' attitude so that people give her a wide berth. Her fear of estrangement from society forces her to always be active in some club or out doing something. She doesn't want to fall into that trap of adulthood or womanhood just yet. She wants to be that kid who can still play with a cape on, not that she'd tell you or anything. Kasumi's got a tough shell to crack, but a child is hiding behind it. Most people only see the negative traits, because they come out quite often. Kasumi is demanding, hostile and wary of people she doesn't know. She almost obsesses over ending the Host Club and is so stubborn the mules are scared of her. She can't wake up for the life of her, is always late, and always has a complaint. Kasumi's got a mouth on her and doesn't like to listen to authority as well, which constantly has her at odds with staff at Ouran Academy. She's also secretive, something that drives the boys away, along with her amazing capacity for jealousy and grudges. ★ H I S T O R Y: When you pair a trophy wife with a ambitious and ruthless business man, you don't usually garner great results. Mr. Furukawa, a man known for his cutting edge ideas in the business industry, decided to hone in on the invulnerability of young women everywhere by starting up a mega make-up company that took the world by storm. Dare2Be grew from a factory to five to a whole international enterprise, and this shrewd man was in charge of it all. His wife nothing more than a pretty face to put on ads, and she was okay with it. Life was great, and then an unexpected gift or problem. His wife was pregnant. Hitomi was born first, dark headed and pale skinned. She was a beautiful child, born from accident but how she was raised became fully intentional. She would marry and carry on the enterprise. So every care was taken to make sure Hitomi would be the perfect child of the wealthy child. She was taught how to speak, act, even eat from a young age. Played classical cello, wore dresses and generally was a quiet and manageable child. It was only with their second child that things turned upside down. Where Hitomi was polite and quiet at her seven years, three year old Kasumi was loud, a chaotic devil and learned words from her father, eager to share. Kasumi was a complete handful, the maids couldn't hardly handle her. She always got into things, pestered her father's private study, made fun of her mother (when she was home). She only seemed at ease when playing with Hitomi. Naturally, the two grew closer, and when the parents stayed out of the house more, the two girls often talked. Hitomi being the reasonable one who'd crack up at jokes. She wasn't as stiff as she seemed. They were prepped and ordered around outside, but in their room the two girls could let loose, Kasumi talking and Hitomi offering advice. When Hitomi went into the high school portion of Ouran though, it all changed. Most would blame rapid development in the older sibling's life, or the sudden notice of the males around her as her father pressured her to get to know the wealthiest ones. Kasumi of course was not privy to all of this information, but she did know her sister started attending meetings of the host club. Kasumi didn't understand it, her sister started wearing dresses, her father's make-up and actually left Kasumi at home to be by her lonesome. The older girl was simply becoming more social and outgoing, but Kasumi saw it as that host club changing her sister. Now Hitomi barely talked to her, offered no advice to the preteen and went off to go have her own adventures. Kasumi, wanting someone to talk to, or at least to notice her, started acting out at home. No more piano lessons for her, she picked up the electric guitar and spent her days setting up her rebellion in her room. She refused to be a 'show-child' for her father, badmouthed her mother and generally acted the worst a child could to their parents. Kasumi constantly broke rules, set the maids up for failure and made it her mission to make life hell for a while, until she could sink her teeth into the host club that changed her sister and probably every single other girl in that damn high school. Kasumi even met one of the boys, the tall blonde one who wanted to swoon her just like he had her sister. Kasumi detested him the most, how he strutted about the place while she waited for her sister to stop gushing enough to take Kasumi to archery practice. It was down right horrible, how many girls thought that blonde doofus was desirable. A woman could stand strong without a man by her side, it was proven. Look at the amazons! So strengthened her burning desire to end that stupid club. It took ladies' hearts and killed them. Not one of those boys ever cared for a woman. Unfortunately for Kasumi, she never got that chance, and it pained her to think that it wasn't her that got to put the club away. It fell apart when all of the hosts graduated. A feeling of emptiness ran within her until she found the newspaper club. Her passion to find the truth and ability to capture people by writing. She saved it from the brinks and took it underneath her wing. Her father was of course displeased, and was also a part of her decision to take it upon herself. Of course, she became a roaring voice against the Host club when rumors aroused that it would be starting up again. She was active against it, but to no avail. It seemed to form without her consent, so the girl took to destroying it using the papers or whatever is at her disposal. She doesn't want girls in her class who already are getting into make-up (That her father sells) and other obscenities change because of that host club of guys who don't care about emotions, only being held on a pedestal. ★ L I K E S: ♥ betting ★ D I S L I K E S: ✗ Idiots ★ E T C E T E R A: *Kasumi was trained in piano before, and still plays it well. Not that she'd ever let someone like you see her play. The music room should be for music, not for hosts to joke around in! She practices Archery and tennis on her free time, but playing for a school team would bring her father too much joy, so she doesn't try out. As far as your concerned, Kasumi has great self confidence. It's only by her lonesome that she actually acknowledge her faults.
