B.: september tenth ★ H E I G H T: six feet and zero inches ★ W E I G H T: 147 lbs ★ A P P E A R A N C E: Due to his interesting parentage, Koji looks more the part of a tanned american or someone with hispanic blood in him. His skin tone is copper and his hair is a dark brown that has hints of gold in the sunlight. Koji's eyes are green, a mutation of the genes within him that would've given the boy brown eyes. He stands taller than some too, at an even 6ft, not one inch of it fat due to intense swimming and soccer. His best features, he claims, are his stunning smile and 'windswept' hair. Really, it's just messy. He also has a pear shaped birthmark on his chest, which he'll show off whenever someone asks. Koji loves to mix the styles of america and japan, leading to some interesting combinations of clothing styles. He loves tank-tops and necklaces especially. Hats stifle his hair and he doesn't like restricting clothes. The third year is more likely to high-five you, hug you or call out to you over the halls if he knows you. He's an eternal optimist (except about grades) and always the cheerful host. He loves to talk and get easily excited for others or about information. Koji is always up for ideas or shenanigans if he isn't initiating them himself. As one of the oldest members in the club (Besides that no-fun Taro) he strives to lead it to the best of his abilities, always worrying about it. The amount of passion and zeal Koji has for life is incredible. He's always full of energy (Except when he crashes on the sofa) and doesn't have a real concept on the darker parts of reality. He tends to push them away to pursue the noble art of music or to entertain people, something he's been doing for years. Whenever Koji starts something, he'll pour his whole self in, giving 200% percent. He's devoted, dauntless and willing to do whatever it takes to get something done. On the flip side, Koji is also a glutton, whiny and sometimes too persistent for his own good. He's stubborn, never stops talking, and can be quite grumpy when things aren't working out, though he'll try to fix them. He lives his life for others and wants them to be happy, sometimes at his own expense. Helping others is what Koji believes he was put on the Earth for, well, besides entertaining the masses with his stunning good looks and musical talent. Of course, he'll show people what they want to be seen. Most of it isn't an act, but when he really is super stressed or really down about something, Koji'll do anything to make sure someone doesn't notice. It does no good for a 'leader' to be distraught to his people, so Koji will cover it up with a fake smile or some music. He can't disappoint the ladies who request him, now can he? ★ H I S T O R Y: Shigure Iwasawa's first wife was never able to have children. Which was fine by him, he loved her. She got sick often though, and her death due to severe pneumonia was inevitable to the young entrepreneur. Fueled by grief, Shigure poured himself into his work, building up a large, international music franchise that dealt with everything from instrument repair to special orders. He even had composers working for him. Iwasawa Music Corp. Grew huge while Shigure lived on. In a botched effort to see if he could ever love again, he had a 'friendly' relationship with the made in his american home. Koji was a lovechild between the two. It was apparent that Shigure had messed up, his son looked perfectly healthy, but not Japanese. This sort of slanderous activity could ruin his career as a top dog in the music industry. The maid knew it too but she wouldn't leave her son, the only one she had. So they devised a plan. Koji was to be Shigure's adopted son, a boy he took in for his sickly maid and raised as his own. The maid would continue to live with them, taking care of the boy who looked so much like her. Shigure didn't want his business to fail, but he couldn't just ignore the young boy who was his son. The big-shot CEO and the maid were still trying to sort out their feelings for each other, so Koji was in limbo for a while. The boy grew up speaking spanish with the mother he didn't know was his and japanese with his father. He was a wild child growing up, always getting into things he shouldn't have. Sure, he wasn't the brightest, but both mother and father could tell from the get go that their son was going places. He was loud, but he caught people's attention. He always had an intuitive moment or two, and funnily enough, he picked up weird habits and knowledge. Koji could name big band era jazz musicians, and ride a unicycle. His father gave him a violin one day and the rest was history. Growing up, Koji was that musical child. His father's talent ran through him and his mother's passion for doing something. He started piano and vocal lessons in the same year, listened to all of the music his father's company put out and playing it himself. He seemed to have a knack for it, though he didn't do good in normal private school. His spelling was atrocious, his math downright horrid, and you couldn't even tell where his reading level was residing. But his ability to play instruments and remember notation and theory of music was pretty significant. It became his passion in life, and Koji was sure that he'd be an entertainer someday. He had the looks for it, the talent and the zest and personality. Everything required to be a star. Except the approval from his father. Koji's father was proud of his son, but never showed it. After all, according to the world, Koji wasn't his, it was his sickly maid's son. The two adults in his life never seemed to grow closer, and stress between them because of him and his own pestering ways often annoyed his father. Koji was constantly reprimanded for not having higher marks and for spending his time with instruments holed up in his room. Koji was threatened to be cut off from his music if he didn't get out and socialize and get his grades up. So Koji, being the natural entertainer he was, quickly made friends, started to swim and play sports to appease his father. He wanted to be someone his father could be proud of, or at least, that man who had raised him could say, hey, that's my son. He got tutoring around his first year of high school at Ouran Academy. He couldn't have a girl because both parties often got distracted, so he needed a male who wouldn't put up with his procrastinating ways. It was by a stroke of luck he found 'that kid' Taro Inoue, a quiet kid in a different class in his grade that was just what Koji needed. In fact, Koji was determined to get Taro out and about more, he was an awesome guy when he opened up. The entertainer made it his personal goal to get Taro, his new best friend, a better social life, and in exchange for tutoring, Koji made sure to introduce Taro around and let the girls see him. It was through Taro that Koji learned of the host club. A club...just for entertaining? It sounded like heaven to the boy, and he jumped aboard the ship to help the Host club come back. He even got to do it with Taro, which was extra fun. Koji learned all he could about the club, contacting old members and asking questions, explaining the new hosts, he wanted it to be just as grand as the old one. Koji considers himself a leader of the club and often dreams up crazy ideas for all of the lovely hosts to try. ★ L I K E S: ♥ music of almost every kind ★ D I S L I K E S: ✗ cats ★ E T C E T E R A: *Without Taro Koji probably would've failed a grade, and he thinks very highly of his best friend. *Koji wears contacts to school everyday because of his astigmatism. He wears glasses at home. *He can, in fact, ride a unicycle. Does it quite well too. *Koji's parents plan on telling him of his true parentage on his 18th birthday, as well as them splitting up. He still believes the story his father fed the press, but sometimes he wonders about why he has some Japanese features... *Koji has never had a girlfriend, despite how well he gets along with the ladies, or males. He considers himself gender-blind, but no one has really caught his attention. That's fine though, he'll stick to entertaining. *He doesn't understand personal boundaries.
