He has dark brown eyes that can be described both as mud or dirt as well as milk chocolate. His skin tone is slightly more pale than average, but it is really only prominent during the sunny seasons when people go out and murder their skin cells with the sun's dangerous rays. When Taro isn't in his school uniform he is generally dressed in long sleeves or a jacket, even in the summer time, and is always caught with his earbuds shoved in his ears.[/style][STYLE=width: 400px; padding: 10px; font-family: Arial narrow; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: 3px; text-transform: uppercase; background-color: 525252; border-bottom: 3px solid #f9f9f9;]★ PERSONALITY[/style][STYLE=width: 400px; padding: 10px; background-color: d5d5d5; font-family: arial; color: 313131; font-size: 11px;]★ G E N E R A L: Taro really doesn't look like much of a happy-go-lucky always perky good-doer. That is mostly because he isn't. He often goes off to seclude himself from the outside world, engaging in acts of artistic relief such as sketching or writing. While he tries his best to be outgoing and spontaneous, Taro can't seem to break his comfort and satisfaction of repetitious actions and events. This reproduction of daily events gives him comfort and has for as long as he could remember. Lead by an unwavering fear of change, Taro tends to surround himself with those he already knows and needs to be pushed to engage in the simplest of interactions with strangers. Even as much as saying hello and ordering a coffee can be difficult for this young man. With this structure comes organization. Taro is a very cleanly and detail oriented person which lets him follow instruction extremely well in order to produce the grades that have put him in the top ten of his class. He is very much so an intelligent boy and often can be found tutoring in one of the school's abundant libraries. Diligence is something that comes second nature to Taro. When he has a project he milks it clean of every detail and tries to learn the most from it as he possibly can. However his inability to socialize can bring great challenges. Taro, despite being a well-off and fairly intelligent person, sometimes cannot succeed at simple tasks. Public speaking, for one, is something that has never been easy for him, and probably never will. Mind blanks and anxiety attacks are common in situations where Taro is uncomfortable, which can often times leave him in the shadows of some of his younger brothers. Taro also cannot function well in a large society, which is part of the reason why he is almost never out of his family's mansion. Vacations are torture, especially when he could sit at home and just as easily learn about the hot spots and monuments from the safety and security of his personal boundaries. On the subject of personal boundaries, Taro has many. He does not allow himself to stray from these easily out of fear of the possibilities. Taro is more than anything, scared of things that make him uncomfortable. This may include: speed dating, parties, jobs, sports, talking to strangers, driving, hiking, etc. Taro, being as detail oriented as he is, cannot help but allow him mind to often wander into articulately devised scenarios of every possible dangerous or hurtful consequence for any and every action. In order to stop these, Taro has given up many of his teenage freedoms. He doesn't drive, he doesn't go out, he doesn't do many extracurricular activities other than the Host Club. Taro never got to meet any of the alumni from the original club, but he read about them from the achieves and frequently asked about them in his first few years of attending Ouran. When he heard they were making a reappearance with a new student body, Taro jumped at the opportunity. The Host Club, while taking him out of his natural boundaries, dared him to make a change. He wanted to contribute more to the school and his classmates, and helping revive the dried up club was certainly one way to do it. His abilities in math and strict organizational skills helped him greatly in becoming the club's manager. Taro keeps notes and tabs, securing events and dates, keeping track of anyone and everyone who enters and leaves the third music room's doors. When Taro enters the Host Club room, his personality shifts into a more calm and casual setting. Most of the students he meets with are acquaintances, which helps with the social anxiety of interactions. While he doesn't often leave his comfort zone, Taro has learned to walk the boundary and live a little bit less cautious. He will serve anyone who requests a visit, regardless of gender or orientation. This is mostly due to the fact that since Taro rarely meets up with friends or potential romantic interests, he doesn't really know what he fancies, if you get my drift. However if one were to pursue him, they should know there is a chance that he will end up pushing himself away at the thought of changing their friendly dynamic for the worse. But, effort could possibly be rewarded if the stars align and the two grow closer. ★ H I S T O R Y: Taro was born on a warm summer's night in a small family-run clinic. He was delivered by his aunt who had been his mother's midwife since knowledge of the surprise pregnancy. His father was there to witness all the blood, sweat, and he even contributed to the tears. He was his father's first son, coming second only to his older sister, Masa. His mother, a young and well established pharmacist, suffered from pre-eclampsia during the pregnancy and was for sure that Taro would be her last child to deliver. And for a short while this was true. It wasn't until Taro was four that his mother would be told that she was, once again, going to bear a child. Another little boy, another unexpected pregnancy, another set of medical problems. However the fear didn't truly set in until a few weeks before she was due to give birth. His mother had another battle with pre-eclampsia and was forced to induce labor in attempt to protect the unborn child and her. The fear was setting in, but there wasn't enough time to let it die down. As soon as the child was born, Taro's mother fell ill and began to bleed out. The family's clinic wasn't prepared and it was too late by the time the paramedics arrived. His mother died shortly after her second son, Sho, was born. For the next few years the small, now motherless family would struggle with many aspects of simple life. Masa would occasionally disregard her father's wishes, leaving the house without knowledge, outbursts of anger and violence, as well as a lack of respect for herself. Taro and Sho, still very young, were forced to rely on his families maids for female roles when Masa was acting out. Their father would often lock himself away, drinking out his own sorrows and fears of the future. This was how the broken family lived. Many years of dysfunction lead to the severe social problems that Taro suffers. Unlike most children his age, Taro stayed inside, ignoring the call of nature and the sun. The idea of leaving his sanctuary almost never passed through his head. Instead he let himself be run by the structured household. He followed rules, manners, as well as spent most of his time locked away during the school year, studying to please and amaze his teachers and fellow students. His father began to sober up unexpectedly, leaving his three children confused as he would throw around cheerful smiles and greetings to business partners and friends that they had never seen. One friend who was over quite often was a Ms. Rie Koizumi. She was deemed "special" by their father. In the later years to come Taro would see more and more of Rie, becoming more accustomed to her sporadic appearances, though not all were pleasing. One of which times was when his father announced their engagement when Taro was nine. The next would be when they so excitedly told the young children that their stepmother was pregnant. The children were unaware of how to react, especially Masa who threw more tantrums and got into more and more trouble as she got older. But no matter how angry Masa got, the birth of their little brother Saito happened. Despite the change in family dynamic, Taro seemed to be pleased with how life seemed to turn around for his father, but disappointed in Masa that she couldn't see how selfish she was being. But he also couldn't blame her. When their mother died Masa was already seven and the two females had grown very close. Upon her death was the devastation and abandonment of not only her mother, but her father emotionally and physically as well. She was forced to grow up with little help, and with that came many emotions, including anger. Taro never had the opportunity to feel such rage and abandonment, he was simply too young to have grown as strong of bonds with his parents before they left in their own ways. When Taro grew old enough to attend Ouran he began the junior high academy with his older sister by his side in the high school section. They would meet and chat almost every day during breaks, even if that meant Masa had to break a few rules to get to see him. She helped him find his way in his early days, taught him which people to stay away from and which teachers he could debate with and those who would dock his grade for doing so. She was his guide and one of his closest friends. By the time he reached his first year in the high school she was leaving for her first year in university. He was on his own, scared of the change, and scared of not having his sister for support. He came more introverted and avoided most things that didn't involve academics or learning. Then, the talk of reviving the Host Club started in the halls. His interest was sparked, and his mind was set. This would be the thing he would focus on, the thing that would allow him support and structure in the ever changing days. This would be his outlet and his muse, his work and play, his passion. ★ L I K E S: ♥ Jogging ★ D I S L I K E S: ✗ Red meats ★ E T C E T E R A: Taro's older sister was one of the few he knows who got to meet the Host Club though she was never a frequent customer, but her stories were the first that Taro heard about the original members. His father has an occasional relapse of alcoholism but it is a hush-hush subject in his family as it could potentially ruin their reputation.
