O. B.: January 9th ★ H E I G H T: 5 feet and 5 inches ★ W E I G H T: 164 lbs ★ A P P E A R A N C E: Akari doesn't follow the normal standards for girls. Her dark hair is cropped short. The longest strands barely reach her chin. Her hair is parted to the right and leaves a bang hanging to the left. Akari has big and round, light purple eyes. Her lashes are long, but thick too. Akari doesn't wear the school uniform, she refuses against it and you will never catch her wearing those big yellow dresses. She usually wears long sleeved shirt with a black shirt that extends to mid-thigh. If she's ever forced into a uniform, she'll wear the boys' uniform. [/style][STYLE=width: 400px; padding: 10px; font-family: Arial narrow; font-size: 20px; letter-spacing: 3px; text-transform: uppercase; background-color: 525252; border-bottom: 3px solid #f9f9f9;]★ PERSONALITY[/style][STYLE=width: 400px; padding: 10px; background-color: d5d5d5; font-family: arial; color: 313131; font-size: 11px;]★ G E N E R A L: Akari isn't the type of girl who needs a knight in shining armor. Or a savior to rescue every time she's in trouble. Or a prince to sweep her off of her own two feet and whisk her away to a land of peace and serenity. She can do all those things by herself without the help of others. Akari is an independent person. She doesn't need the help of others and refuses to depend on others. Don't assume it's because she's afraid to show weakness, she's not afraid to show that. She's just distrustful by nature and has been from a young age. She doesn't trust easy and is hesitant about allowing others to help her or even get near her. Not to mention, she's just a generally aloof person. She's a quiet person, but that doesn't mean she's a pushover. She's more than willing to spit a few fighting words at you. She's rude when she wants to be and extremely blunt too. Akari is spiteful and vengeful if you mess with her or one of her friends too. So I'd watch your back, she's extremely loyal to those she deems friends. Being the rebellious person Akari is, she's vulgar and violent by nature. Which she finds extremely stereo-typical, which she hates so much. Though, what shocks people the most is how patient she is, as well as how hard-working she is. She may attend every single one of her classes, but she doesn't actually do any work in them. It seems odd for her to be hard-working but never do anything, but she works in a different way. She knows what she's working on, and goes home to learn it her way. She surfs in the internet learning about it and then finds a way to make it hands on so she knows how to do it and how it works. She has an amazing memory so by working with it hands on, instead of listening to a professor drone on and on, she learns much faster than a normal student. Her way of learning costs more time out of school than learning in school does. So, she's hard-working because she gives up time she could be spending with friends, working on her skills. Akari is a adventurous, daring and persistent person. She's willing to try new things with her own little spunk added to the mixture. She's not afraid to go out of her comfort zone and do things she normally wouldn't. Even if she's a little bit afraid, she's persistent with her goals. She doesn't give up until she achieved it. She's ambitious, so she aims for the top and gives it her all no matter the consequence. Despite her somewhat reckless and rash personality, Akari is observant. She notices the little things that people do, and finds details easier to find than the big pictures. She just chooses not to use those observations when she's in class or making a choice. She'll do whatever she wants, whenever she wants even if her observations say she should do otherwise. She likes to break the rules and make the wrong choices in life. She likes being rebellious ★ H I S T O R Y: Akari was born to two parents both of pure Japanese blood. She grew up rich, but both her parents were hardly home. She kept up with her maids and butlers though. She always knew what was going on in the mansion because her maids and butlers were her only friends growing up. She was aloof, but she was able to talk to people as well. Tragedy struck when Akari was seven, her favorite maid - Hinata-chan - passed away. Or, that's what she was told. Hinata was a young girl, no older than twenty-five, but Akari didn't question what her parents told her because she trusted them. It didn't stop her from being sad though, she became a bit more aloof, but kept up with conversations well. At nine, Akari was moved to her aunt's house to live there for a while because her parents were much too busy to deal with her. The maids and butlers were busy keeping the large house clean and preparing for something to happen for them to watch her. Her aunt was nice, but strict. She drilled it into Akari that honesty was the best policy and she should never censor herself. Her aunt passed away a year after Akari moved in with her. It turns out, that the year Akari was gone, her parents finalized their divorce. They both got caught cheating on each other, and decided that there was no reason to stay together if they were going to keep cheating. The divorce didn't hit Akari that hard, but it was the fact that her parents didn't tell her that hit her harder. Akari moved in with her father, but she didn't trust him blindly like she used to. She became more weary of his ways and started to question is motives and way of life. She kept her distrust to herself though. She kept up some-what friendly conversations with him, told him about her day, asked him about his, she never let her distrust show because she knew it'd ruin their relationship. Over the years, Akari started to grow outwards, but not upwards. She expanded her group of friends, but not in the right way. She met people who weren't from the family status as her. She started hanging out with kids from the bad side of the neighborhood and they started to influence her choices. She became more vulgar, more violent, and to her father's displeasure, more rebellious. She lost that innocence her parents had tried to keep for so many years in a matter of months. At one point, she join a gang and got into a fight. The only sign that she was in the gang fight though, is the large scar across his chest. It's a very visible scar, but she keeps it hidden and as well as her past as a gang member. During her first years in school, Akari was a bad student. Not bad in the sense she did bad in her classes, but bad behavior wise. She never listened to her teachers, nor did she ever wear the proper uniform to school. Her homework was never turned in on time, her school work always had a failing mark on it, yet she passed every test with flying colours. Her father was called in once, it was a horrible experience for Akari. Not because it was her father they called in, but because he came without her mother. To Akari, that meant that her mother was completely out of the picture as a parent. It hurt Akari, it made her feel as if her mother abandoned her. Left her with a man who she didn't trust, not that she trusted either of them to be honest. When she graduated the middle school division of Ouran, her behavior got somewhat better. She didn't back talk unless talked to, she learned to keep her mouth shut and kept to herself unless you were to approach her. She kept the same schooling habits, failing every piece of work assigned to her but passing every test. Though, middle school was a different experience for Akari. She started hanging out with the bad kids again. She never went as far as to join a gang once again, but she did start developing bad habits. She started skipping classes she didn't like, she started getting more detentions, teachers started phoning home more often, but not once did her grades every slip from top of her classes. It wasn't until she came home smelling like cigarette smoke that her father drew a line. For three months, she was sent to a camp to "correct" her behavior. It didn't really do much except expose her to more kids like her. Bad ones who never walked on the right side of the line of society. They taught her to never let someone control how she lived, to never be afraid, to never live by the standards someone else sets for you. When Akari returned to school, she was the exact same person she left as, but more free-spirited and relaxed. Her father wasn't particularly pleased but they set up a deal. As long as she kept her grades up and was at least in the top three and attended all her classes, he would allow her to do whatever she wanted. She only agreed because he dropped making her attend all her classes. She didn't see a point in attending all her class if she'd ace all her tests anyway. The year before she started high school, Akari's father passed away. She was heartbroken for a few months, it impacted her greatly, but not enough for her to fall out of bad habits. She kept up with their deal though, it was her first sign of loyalty in a very long time. She ace'd every test given to her no matter what subjects, but she added something else to her list of things to do. She attended every class like her father had originally said to do. Akari only attended every class because it was something her father wanted that she never granted. There were a lot of things he wanted, but she never gave him. Her attending all her classes would be the thing to make up for her lacking all those times. After the death of her father, Akari moved in with her mother. She was never sure why she missed the women as she was a horrible mother. Akari was a bad kid, and her mother saw her as only that. She never saw the good-side of Akari. Her loyalty, her practically perfect grades, her patience, her ability to put up with everyone's bullshit and still seem so strong. Akari's mother refused to acknowledge her ever. They lived in the same house, but it felt as if they were worlds apart to Akari. Akari never denied the fact that she felt lonely without her father around, but she never agreed to the statement either. She took up Kendo to fill in the gap that her father left, it became her escape from reality. She had Kendo, and her mother had her work. They kept distance from each other for several months. It wasn't until Akari came home late because she got held up with her friends. Akari's mother didn't say anything to her. She simply glared at her for a split second before returning to whatever she was doing. She felt like she was abandoned by her father. Left to the hands of a horrible woman and a horrible mother. Even if both of them cheated on each other, Akari believed her father should've been the one with the least amount of guilt on his chest. As Akari entered her last year of high school, her mother announced that she was getting re-married. She was getting re-married to the man she had cheated with during her marriage. Akari lost it, she went absolutely crazy that night. She called her mother names, and told her how much she hated her, and how she should be dead instead of her father. Akari's mother slapped Akari during the lecture she got, actually during the end of it. Akari slapped her back, spat one more insult, walked right out the front door and never looked back. She had inherited her father's company the day he died, she had all the money in the world to live by herself and that' exactly what she did. She moved out, bought a small apartment by herself and never looked back. Her only regret even to this day, is not appreciating and trusting her father more when he was alive. ★ L I K E S: ♥ cigarettes ★ D I S L I K E S: ✗ being commanded ★ E T C E T E R A: Akari hates her new step-father. She's never met him, seen him, or heard him, but she hates him automatically. In place of her father who her mother cheated on. "That sonofabitch can rot in a fucking whole for all I care," Is what she says whenever he's brought up. She hates him almost as much as she hates her mother.
